Question by: Denise M on Jan 2, 2026, 1:15 PM
fitting says 0.50 inch hose ID -- does that mean it'll work on standard half inch hose, or is that a different measurement than what i'm used to seein on regular hose clamp fittings?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 3, 2026, 4:03 PM
Half-inch hose ID is exactly what this fitting is sized for. The 0.50 inch spec refers to the inside diameter of the hose itself, which is the standard way shank-type fittings get sized. As long as your hose has a true half-inch bore, the shank should seat right. Just keep in mind that how well it holds is going to depend on your clamp type, how many you use, placement, and what you're running through the hose. Temperature and the fluid being conveyed factor in too, so those are worth thinking through before you put it in service.

What kind of stuff is this fitting good for, like what kind of hoses?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 21, 2026, 6:23 AM
Typically, this brass fitting works for low-pressure fluid transfer, suction, and discharge applications. The working pressure will depend on the hose itself, how you clamp it, and other factors.

trying to swap out an old female flare swivel, what size hose and thread is this one set up for?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 23, 2026, 6:49 AM
It’s made for a 0.50 inch hose ID on the shank side and a 7/8-14 SAE 45 degree female flare swivel on the threaded end.
