got a 1/4 inch ID hose. is this the right deal if i need female npt on the other end?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 25, 2025, 12:12 PM
You’re looking at a short shank brass hose fitting that matches a 0.25 inch hose ID and has 1/4-18 female NPT threads on the pipe side, in a straight configuration.
Question by: Lee M on May 8, 2025, 6:55 PM
What kind of pressure can this handle? Just wanna make sure it's good for what I need.
Answer by: Customer Support on May 10, 2025, 6:01 AM
Working pressure for shank type fittings really depends on the hose you're using, the clamps, and how you put it all together. Temperature and what you're moving through it also matter.
Question by: Bonnie E on Oct 25, 2025, 6:41 PM
what kind of thread does this fitting use on the pipe side? trying to figure out if it'll work with what i already got on my setup
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 27, 2025, 2:59 PM
The pipe end on this fitting is a 1/4-18 Female NPT thread. That's a pretty standard size, so it connects up with a lot of common male NPT fittings you'd run across in low pressure fluid transfer setups. Just make sure whatever you're threading into it has a matching 1/4-18 male NPT end and you should be good to go.
