Rated at 15 tons and built to ASME B30.1 standards at 10,000 PSI, the C Series General Purpose Single-Acting Cylinder is designed for demanding lifting and pressing applications in industrial environments. The solid steel cylinder body provides structural durability, while a chrome-plated piston rod resists wear and corrosion over extended service cycles.

An aluminum bronze bearing reduces the effects of off-center loading, and maximum-sized return springs are fitted to speed piston retraction and extend spring service life. Base mounting holes are standard on this model, and a 3/8" NPTF female half coupler is included. A wide range of accessories can be threaded onto the piston rod, collar, or cylinder base to suit specific application requirements.

With an effective cylinder area of 3.142 sq in and an extended height of 16.813 inches, this unit is part of the SPX Hydraulic Technologies C Series line, covering capacities from 5 to 100 tons.

got a press job where the load aint perfectly centered, is this cylinder gonna hold up or does it chew itself up?

For off-center loading, it uses an aluminum bronze bearing that helps reduce the wear you normally see when the force is not perfectly centered. The piston rod is also chrome-plated to resist wear and corrosion over time, and the cylinder body is solid steel for durability in lifting and pressing work.
