got a 1/4 inch tube line and a 1/4-18 nptf port, is this the straight adapter that ties those together?

fitting's only 1.30 inches long, that gonna cause any issues getting a wrench on it during install?

At 0.750 inch hex, you've got a solid wrench flat to work with even at that overall length. Compact adapters like this one can feel a little tight in crowded assemblies, but the hex size is consistent enough that a standard open-end or combination wrench seats on it without much fuss. Just make sure you've got reasonable clearance on the tube side before you torque it down.
