Designed for straight inline connections between tube and pipe thread fittings, the 04BT-04FP Adapter Straight from Brennan Industries connects a 1/4 in. OD tube end to a 1/4-18 NPTF port. The tube side uses a 7/16-20 thread with a 0.203 in. drill diameter and a seating depth of 0.234 in., while a 0.750 in. hex provides a consistent wrench flat for installation. got a 1/4 inch tube line and a 1/4-18 nptf port, is this the straight adapter that ties those together?

For a straight, inline tube-to-pipe transition, it matches a 1/4 in. OD tube end on one side and a 1/4-18 NPTF port on the other. The tube end uses a 7/16-20 thread.

fitting's only 1.30 inches long, that gonna cause any issues getting a wrench on it during install?

At 0.750 inch hex, you've got a solid wrench flat to work with even at that overall length. Compact adapters like this one can feel a little tight in crowded assemblies, but the hex size is consistent enough that a standard open-end or combination wrench seats on it without much fuss. Just make sure you've got reasonable clearance on the tube side before you torque it down.
