what keeps moisture and junk from getting inside the cable over time? been dealing with rust issues on my last setup and don't want that headache again

Custom compounded seals are built into the cable specifically to block moisture and contaminants from working their way inside. On top of that, the end fittings are made from 300 series stainless steel and aluminum, so corrosion resistance is built into the hardware itself, not just the outer jacket. The polymer liner is also factory lubricated at the time of manufacture, so there's no need to service it after installation. That combination tends to hold up well in environments where rust has been a problem before.
