Description & Features

This Orscheln Products cable hardware and knob is a Felsted rod pivot, designed for durability and long service life in demanding applications.

The FELSTED ROD PIVOT features corrosion-resistant materials throughout. It incorporates a heavy-duty, thick-walled polymer jacket extruded onto the stranded liner, ensuring maximum cable strength. A polymer rod and sleeve bearing improves efficiency, sealing, and cable life by preventing metal-to-metal contact.

Durable, custom-compounded seals prevent moisture and contaminants from entering the cable. The stranded conduit consists of multiple oil-tempered spring wires placed in a long lay pattern, protecting the liner and inner core while maintaining flexibility and withstanding extreme compressive and tensile loads.

got a felsted push pull cable setup, is this rod pivot the little joint that lets the rod move without binding?

On a Felsted-style cable assembly, the rod pivot is the pivoting hardware at the rod end that allows the rod to articulate as it moves, so the connection can follow slight angle changes instead of forcing the rod to run in a straight line.

Will this pivot rod work alright in a setup where things get pretty hot?

The polymer liners used in these cables are rated to handle temperatures from -65°F up to 225°F, so it should hold up well in warmer environments.
