how hot does this hose actually get before it starts breaking down? got a marine exhaust setup that runs pretty hard and don't want to be replacing it every season

Continuous operating temps up to 350 degrees F are well within what this hose handles on a regular basis. The silicone construction also carries a 10 year warranty, which says something about how it holds up over time compared to standard rubber alternatives. As long as it's installed far enough downstream from the water injection point so the temp at that location stays within that 350 degree rating, you won't have trouble getting long life out of it.
