CV1-16 Series Cartridge Check Valve, 20 PSI Cracking Pressure

Description & Features

The Danfoss-Hydraulics CV1-16 Series Cartridge Check Valve ensures efficient fluid control in various industrial and mobile applications. It boasts an impressive maximum operating pressure of 3000 PSI and a flow rating of 40 GPM making it suitable for demanding environments like harvesters and refuse haulers.

Designed with a poppet style mechanism it allows free flow in one direction while maintaining a low leakage rate of 0.25 cc/min. The valve operates with a cracking pressure of 20 PSI and achieves high operational efficiency even under extreme temperatures ranging from -40F to 248F.

The screw-in cartridge installation type simplifies the setup process. The valve also features a Cavity size C-16-2 housing which is sold separately. It is built with Buna-N seal material and requires a recommended filtration level of 18/16/13 as per ISO 4406 Cleanliness Level.

With 2 valve ports and a direct-acting operation the CV1-16 series provides reliable performance across various hydraulic systems. This check valve is categorized under ECCN EAR99 assuring compliance with export regulations.

Question by: Hubert B on Nov 20, 2025, 6:59 PM
What sort of machine would you typically find this check valve in?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 22, 2025, 11:20 AM
You'll often see these used in harvesters and refuse haulers, but they also fit well in a variety of other mobile and industrial applications.
Question by: Rex R on May 6, 2025, 6:16 PM
Running this on a refuse hauler and need to know if it'll hold up to some pretty gnarly temperature swings. What kind of range are we talking?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 8, 2025, 6:29 AM
Rated for extreme limits of -40°F up to 248°F, so temperature swings on a refuse hauler are well within what this valve is built to handle. Cold morning startups and heat buildup through a long shift are both covered by that range. Buna-N seals are used throughout, which hold up well across those conditions.
