Vickers by Danfoss / Eaton Coils are engineered for use in demanding mobile and industrial applications such as harvesters and refuse haulers. These coils boast a compact design and are internally rectified for reliable performance. Designed for continuous duty these coils are a suitable replacement part for older equipment requiring direct acting air gap solenoids with Vitonreg; seals as standard.
With a maximum operating pressure of 3000 PSI at Ports P A & B and 1000 PSI at Port T these coils exhibit robust capabilities. Maximum flow rates are dependent on spool/spring combination and coil configurations. Standard mounting bolts are 4ea 1/4-20 x 1-1/2 Grade 8 socket head cap screws torqued to 112 lb.in. with threads lubricated.
Detented models should be mounted with the longitudinal axis horizontal while other models can be installed in any position. The Eaton DG4S4-01 50 Series offers a versatile solution for various configurations accommodating a wide range of technical specifications.

Reckon this coil would be alright for a harvester, seeing as that's what I'm running?

These Vickers by Danfoss/Eaton coils are indeed suitable for harvesters, as well as refuse haulers and other mobile and industrial applications.

got an older setup that uses the direct acting air gap solenoids. is this coil meant as a replacement, and does it come with Viton seals?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 6, 2025, 8:57 AM
For older equipment that uses direct acting air gap solenoids, this coil is intended as a replacement part, and Viton seals are standard on this series.
Question by: Wes T on Oct 1, 2025, 10:28 AM
been hunting for a replacement coil for an older air gap solenoid setup and somebody told me these might work, are they actually built for that kind of swap-out situation?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 3, 2025, 10:15 AM
Yeah, these are specifically made as replacement parts for older direct acting air gap solenoid equipment. Worth noting that for any new builds or fresh applications, the Wet Armature 60 Series is the recommended way to go. But if you're maintaining or repairing existing machinery that already uses the air gap style, these fit that role. Viton seals come standard, and they're rated for continuous duty, so they hold up in regular working conditions without needing to be babied.
