Description & Features

Designed for subplate and manifold mounting to the ISO 4401 / NFPA D03 interface, the DG4V-3(S) Series D03 Solenoid Valve is a single-stage, 4-way, 3-position directional control valve with spring-centered, closed-center configuration. It operates on a 12VDC coil with lead wires and conduit box termination, drawing 30 watts, and is suited to standard-performance hydraulic circuits across a wide range of industrial environments.

The gray iron body is sealed with Buna-N seals, with a fluid temperature range of -4°F to 158°F for mineral oil. Maximum operating pressure is 5,075 psi, though pressures above 3,000 psi require a steel subplate or manifold. At standard performance, DC coils support flow up to 8 GPM. Typical applications include machine tool, press, die casting and foundry, marine and offshore, primary metal, and turbine control systems. The coil can be replaced with the valve in place, and a plain manual override is included.

Closed center and spring centered, what does that get me in plain terms when the coil ain’t powered?

In layman's terms, the valve is spring-centered in a closed center position. So when neither solenoid is powered, it springs back to center, blocking all flow paths through the valve.

For wiring, am i dealing with a plug or loose leads on this 12VDC coil?

The wiring consists of 12VDC lead wires, and the coil setup uses a conduit box design. So, you'll be landing leads in a conduit box instead of using a DIN plug connector.
