The Danfoss DG4V-3(S) Series Subplate/Manifold Mount NFPA Size D03 Solenoid Valve features a 4-way, 3-position configuration with a spring-centered design. It supports standard performance with AC coils at 3 GPM and DC coils at 2.5 GPM. Constructed from durable gray iron, this valve ensures high reliability and is suitable for applications such as die casting, machine tools, marine/offshore, and turbine control.

Designed for a fluid cleanliness of 19/17/14 micron, the valve integrates smoothly with ISO/DIS 4401-AB-03 D03 interfaces.

Its response time ranges between 18 to 32 milliseconds. The operating temperature for mineral oil is -4deg;F to 158deg;F, and for water-based fluids, it is +50deg;F to 129deg;F. The maximum operating pressure is 5075 psi, requiring steel subplates or manifolds when exceeding 3000 psi.

Additional features include a plain manual override, AC/DC voltage compatibility (220VAC50Hz, 240VAC60Hz), and a DIN 43650 coil. The transient conditions during shift are controlled with P to A: P & A restricted opening to T, B blocked, and P to B: P & B restricted opening to T, A blocked.

What kind of applications does this valve work for?

Running this on a die casting line and need to know if it'll hold up at high pressure. We're regularly pushing past 3000 psi. Any issues there?

At pressures above 3000 psi, the subplate or manifold has to be steel. The valve body itself is rated up to 5075 psi, so the valve isn't the weak point, but a cast iron or aluminum subplate won't cut it at those pressures. Swap to steel mounting hardware and you're good to run it at the higher end of that range.
