The DG4V-3(S) Series Subplate/Manifold Mount NFPA Size D03 Solenoid Valve 4-Way 3-Position Spring Centered Closed Center HP Performance 110VAC50Hz 120VAC60Hz DIN 43650 Coil is designed for high reliability and fluid control in industrial settings. This flow control hydraulic valve is suitable for die casting & foundry machine tool marine/offshore press primary metal paper test equipment & simulation and turbine control applications.

Constructed from gray iron it features vitonreg; seals and a scratch-proof manual override ensuring durability and consistent performance. The valve's three- or four-way directional control and easy mounting on industry-standard surfaces make it versatile for a multitude of configurations.

Performance capabilities include high pressure & flow with low pressure drops regardless of transient conditions. The coil rating of 110VAC50Hz 120VAC60Hz complemented by the DIN 43650 coil type assures efficient operation.

With an interface of ISO/DIS 4401-AB-03 D03 and a tank port rating of 210 it supports fluid cleanliness up to 19/17/14 micron. The product is built to withstand maximum operating pressures up to 5075 psi though pressures over 3000 psi require a steel subplate or manifold.

The valve's operating temperature ranges from -4deg;F to 158deg;F suitable for various fluid types. This product meets the performance specifications required in demanding industrial environments.

This valve is definitely suitable for die casting and foundry applications, along with machine tools, marine/offshore setups, presses, primary metal, paper, test equipment/simulation, and turbine control.

running this on a press that tops out around 3,200 psi, do I need anything special for the subplate?

At pressures over 3,000 psi, a steel subplate or manifold is required. Gray iron subplates are not rated for that range with this valve. As long as your subplate is steel and rated appropriately, you're good to go at 3,200 psi. The valve itself handles up to 5,075 psi max operating pressure, so the valve body won't be your limiting factor.
