Designed for efficient flow control, the DG4V-3 Series Subplate/Manifold Mount NFPA Size D03 Soft Shift Solenoid Valve is highly suitable for applications including die casting, machine tool, and marine/offshore operations. This 4-way, 3-position valve is spring-centered with a float center mechanism, ensuring dependability and precision.

Constructed from durable gray iron, it features a single-stage design with standard performance metrics and a maximum flow rate of 8 GPM at 3000 PSI. This valve employs DC solenoids to prevent coil burnout and has a controlled spool shift speed.

Equipped with 24VDC DIN 43650 coils, the valve includes characteristics such as a fixed, non-serviceable metering orifice, and a molded coil that is resistant to moisture and dirt. Additionally, the valve integrates a wet armature design for quiet functioning and longevity with zero dynamic seal leakage.

Mounting is straightforward on industry-standard surfaces. The valve operates under fluid cleanliness levels of 19/17/14 micron and has a temperature range of 20deg;F to 180deg;F.

what's the tank port pressure rating on this valve, and do i need anything special for the subplate if we're running close to max?

Tank port on this one is rated to 3045 PSI, while ports P, A, and B can handle up to 5075 PSI. One thing worth knowing before you mount it up: anything running above 3000 PSI requires a steel subplate or manifold. Gray iron won't cut it at those pressures. Standard mounting uses four 10-24 x 1-1/4 Grade 8 socket head cap screws, torqued to 44-62 lb-in with lubricated threads. Keep that torque range in mind since going over it can cause problems just as much as going under.

got a D03 subplate setup already. will this DG4V-3 soft shift valve bolt right on, or am i gonna be drilling new holes

Fit is based on the ISO/DIS 4401-AB-03 D03 interface, and it is made to mount on industry-standard D03 subplate or manifold surfaces. It is a subplate and manifold mount valve, so you should not need any special mounting pattern beyond the standard D03 surface.
