Essential materials include a guillotine blade or equivalent cutting tool, compatible refrigerant oil, appropriately sized clips, and a nipple assembly. Note that E-Z Clip components should not be reused to maintain reliability and safety.

hey I tore one of the black rings on the nipple can I just swap it out for a standard rubber one from the shop

Those two black o-rings are made of a very specific rubber compound and size so they absolutely cannot be removed or replaced. You will need a completely new nipple assembly instead of trying to swap out the seals.

got a -06 GH134 A/C hose, are these the right cages for the E-Z Clip setup?

i’ve got a tight spot to work in, do these E-Z Clip cages make the install any easier than a regular crimp setup?

For cramped installs, the E-Z Clip system is set up to be assembled with hand tools instead of a powered crimper. The basic flow is cut the hose, put the clips on, lube and insert the nipple, snap the cage on, then slide the clips over the cage arms and close them with the FT1357 clip closing pliers.
