Featuring precise and reliable assembly for air conditioning and refrigeration, this system does not require power supplies, making it ideal for confined spaces. It provides leak-free crimps without guesswork, ensuring efficiency in assembly.
Follow these steps: cut the hose squarely, install clips, lubricate the nipple using compatible compressor oil, insert the nipple into the hose, snap the cage into the groove, slide clips over cage arms, and close clips using FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers.
Required materials include clip closing pliers, cutting tools, refrigerant oil, GH134 Multi-Refrigerant hose, sized clips, and nipple assembly. Maintain the specific rubber compound and size of the two black o-rings on the nipple assembly; they should not be removed or replaced.
CAUTION: Adherence to assembly instructions and EPA guidelines is crucial to avoid unreliable and unsafe hose assemblies, which may lead to personal injury or violations of EPA regulations.

do i need a heavy duty crimping machine to put these clips together.
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 6, 2025, 6:00 PM
Use the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers to secure the connections instead of a traditional press. You will not need a power supply or a standard crimper since the system is built to be as simple as using a regular pair of pliers in tight areas.

got a hose cut already, what’s the right order to put these E-Z Clip cages on so i dont mess it up?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 13, 2026, 7:34 AM
Start by cutting the hose square, then slip two correct-size clips onto the hose end. Lube the nipple with a generous amount of the system’s compressor oil so it goes in without tearing things up, then push the nipple in until the hose is tight against the nipple shoulder with no gap. Snap the cage into the nipple groove and make sure it can rotate in that groove, slide the clips over the cage arms into the channels, and close the clips using FT1357 clip closing pliers while keeping the pliers square on the connection points.

How do I know which size clips I need for my hose?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 17, 2025, 6:02 AM
You'll need to match the clip size to the GH134 Multi-Refrigerant hose you're using. The product description mentions needing "sized clips," so ensuring you have the right match is key for a leak-free crimp.
