Crafted by Danfoss Power Solutions (II LLC Aeroquip) this -12 hose splicer with low side charge port is an integral component in A/C and refrigeration systems. Designed for compatibility with R134a refrigerants it features a barb and line/hose/tube end type both at 0.75 inches.
Engineered for reliability this fitting ensures no leaking crimps and requires no power supply for installation. The E-Z Clip system promotes ease of use in confined spaces.
The assembly process involves several steps including proper hose cutting installation of clips lubrication of the nipple and the use of specific tools like the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers. The fitting is constructed to avoid gaps between the hose and the nipple shoulder preventing refrigerant escape.

got a -12 A/C hose that needs spliced, is this the one with the low side charge port for R134a?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 1, 2025, 7:10 AM
For R134a A/C and refrigeration setups, this fitting is a -12 hose splicer that includes a low side charge port. Both ends are 0.75 inch, with a barb on one side and a line, hose, tube style end on the other, and it uses two clips per fitting as part of the E-Z Clip system.
Question by: Daryl E on Apr 15, 2025, 9:11 AM
Will this thing work with R134a refrigerant, or do I need a different fitting?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 17, 2025, 7:34 AM
This splicer is indeed compatible with R134a refrigerants.
Question by: Neil M on Oct 21, 2025, 3:27 PM
What all do I need on hand before I start putting this splicer together? Don't want to get halfway through and realize I'm missing something.
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 23, 2025, 12:05 PM
Before you start, round up the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers and a guillotine blade or equivalent cutting tool. You'll also need two appropriately sized clips and a cage, refrigerant oil that's compatible with your A/C or refrigeration system, and GH134 Multi-Refrigerant hose. The nipple assembly comes with two black o-rings already on it, and those should stay put, don't remove or replace them. Once you've got all that together, the process moves pretty quick.
