what tools do I actually need to put this thing together? got the fitting but want to make sure I ain't missing anything before I start cutting hose
Answer by: Customer Support on May 4, 2025, 6:59 AM
You'll need the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers to close the clips once everything is seated, and a guillotine-style cutting tool like the FT1356 to get a clean square cut on the hose. Beyond that, grab some refrigeration or A/C compressor oil compatible with your system. That oil is not optional. You have to lubricate the nipple before insertion or you risk damaging the hose and making the job a whole lot harder than it needs to be. The fitting itself comes with appropriately sized clips and the nipple assembly, so those are already covered.
