got a -10 multi-refrigerant hose that needs patched in the middle. is this the right kind of splicer for that
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 23, 2026, 6:49 AM
For joining two cut ends of a -10 multi-refrigerant hose, this E-Z Clip hose splicer is built for that job. It has dual male ends (0.63 inch each) and is meant for line, hose, and tube connections using the E-Z Clip method, with no mandrel and no power supply needed.

Got a busted section of multi-refrigerant hose and I need to splice it back together without hauling out a bunch of shop equipment. This fitting work for that kind of job on -10 hose?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 15, 2025, 6:19 AM
That's what this fitting is built for. Both ends are male, each sized at 0.63 inches, so you're joining two cut ends of -10 multi-refrigerant hose into one continuous run. No crimping machine, no mandrel, no power supply needed at all. You just need the FT1357 clip closing pliers, the appropriately sized clips and cage, and some refrigerant oil compatible with your system. The nipple goes in oiled up, the cage snaps into the groove, and the clips close down over the cage arms. Whole thing is mechanical and hand-tool driven.
