what tool do you actually need to close the clips on this thing? got limited gear in my shop and want to make sure before ordering
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 29, 2025, 6:18 AM
Closing the clips requires the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers. That's a specific tool for this job, not just any pliers off the bench. When you use them, keep them positioned square on the clip connection points and hold that angle all the way through the close. Using the wrong tool or going at it crooked can leave you with a connection that won't hold the way it should.

got a -10 GH134 multi-refrigerant hose, is this the right straight Lifesaver braze nipple for it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 29, 2026, 7:01 AM
For a straight E-Z Clip Lifesaver setup on a -10 hose, this nipple is made to match that hose size and it uses a 0.625 inch tube OD braze end. It is a male-end fitting, and the seal part listed with it is 1F40106-10.
