what tool do i need to close them clips once everything is assembled? got the kit but wanna make sure i aint missing something before i get started
Answer by: Customer Support on May 1, 2025, 6:52 AM
Closing the clips requires the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers. That specific tool is what you need to properly seat the clips into the connection points. When you use them, keep the pliers squared up on the clip connection points and hold them square all the way through the closing motion. Using the wrong tool risks an improper seal, so it's worth tracking down the FT1357 before you start the assembly.
Question by: Hugh F on Nov 8, 2025, 7:19 PM
putting one of these together, do i really need that special FT1357 pliers or can i get by with regular ones?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 9, 2025, 7:51 PM
For closing the clips, the instructions call for FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers. The clips need to be positioned squarely on the clip connection points and kept square while you close them, and those pliers are the tool specified for doing that correctly.
