The Danfoss Power Solutions (II LLC Aeroquip) E-Z Clip Series Fitting is engineered for precise and efficient connections. This fitting features a 3/4-16 female O-ring with a long pilot allowing for a secure leak-free assembly in specialized applications. It includes a -08 hose fitting and a 90-degree elbow with a 7/16-20 switch port for additional versatility.

Designed for specialized industries the E-Z Clip Series Fitting ensures reliability by eliminating the guesswork and potential leaking crimps. Its user-friendly design requires no power supply making it easy to use even in confined spaces with just a pair of pliers. The robust materials including a nipple assembly with specific rubber compound o-rings further enhance durability.

Assembly is straightforward: cut the hose to length slip on two clips oil the nipple insert the nipple into the hose snap on the cage and slide and close the clips with the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers. Note that E-Z Clip components should not be reused to maintain system integrity.

Sg 1 Cut The Hose
Cut the Hose to Proper Length. Be Sure the Cut is Made Square to the Hose Length
Sg 2 Slip On Two Clips
Install Two Proper-Sized Clips Onto the Cut End of the Hose
Sg 3 Oil The Nipple
Lubricate the Nipple with a Generous Amount of the Refrigeration or A/C System's Compressor Oil. This Must be Done to Lower the Force of Nipple Insertion
Sg 4 Insert The Nipple Into The Hose
Insert the Nipple into the Hose. There Should be No Gap Between the End of the Hose and the Shoulder on the Nipple. Avoid Kinking or Damaging the Hose While Inserting Nipple
Sg 5 Snap On The Cage
Snap the Cage into the Groove on the Nipple. When the Cage Has Been Correctly Installed in the Cage Groove, the Cage Will be Able to Rotate in the Groove
Sg 6 Slide The Clips
Slide the Clips Over the Cage Arms and into the Channels on Each Arm
Sg 7 Close The Clips
Use the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers to Close the Clips. The Pliers Should be Positioned Squarely on the Clip Connection Points and Should Remain Square During the Closing of the Clip

got a tight spot behind an A/C compressor, do i need a crimper or power tool to put this E-Z Clip fitting on?

No power tool is part of the setup. The E-Z Clip system goes together with hand steps and the FT1357 clip closing pliers, which is why it’s called out as easy to use in confined areas.

what tool do you actually need to close these clips? got a bunch of fittings to put together and don't want to be hunting down some specialty tool last minute

You'll need the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers to finish the assembly. That's the specific tool called out for this system. When you're using them, make sure they're seated square on the clip connection points and stay square all the way through the close. If they're cocked at an angle you risk a bad connection. Beyond that tool and a guillotine-style hose cutter, the rest of the process is pretty straightforward.
