what tools do i actually need to put this fitting together? got the hose already but not sure if i need anything special beyond what's in the shop

You'll need clip closing pliers, specifically the FT1357 model, along with a guillotine blade (FT1356) or a comparable square-cutting tool to get the hose end clean and straight. Beyond that, have the appropriately sized clips and cage on hand, two per fitting, and make sure you're using refrigeration or A/C compressor oil compatible with your system to lubricate the nipple before insertion. The GH134 Multi-Refrigerant hose is what this fitting is built to work with. None of those steps require power tools or a crimper, which is part of the appeal with the E-Z Clip setup.

got a -10 GH134 hose here, is this the right 90 fitting for it or am i barkin up the wrong tree
