what all do you need to put one of these together? asking cause i want to make sure i got everything on hand before i start

You'll need a few specific items to get this assembled correctly. Two properly sized clips and a cage go on per fitting, along with the nipple assembly that comes with it. For tools, grab the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers and a guillotine blade or equivalent square-cut hose cutter. You also need refrigerant oil that's compatible with your system to lubricate the nipple before insertion. That oil step is not optional, it's what makes the nipple go in without fighting you. The GH134 Multi-Refrigerant hose is the hose type this fitting is built for, so make sure that's what you're working with.
