what tool do i need to close the clips on this fitting? got the hose cut and nipple in but not sure what closes it up proper

Closing the clips requires the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers. Position them square on the clip connection points and keep them square all the way through the close. The fitting also calls for a guillotine blade or equivalent cutter, two properly sized clips, a cage, and refrigerant oil compatible with your system to lubricate the nipple before insertion.
