Question by: Hank T on Nov 6, 2025, 12:40 PM
got a -08 GH134 hose im putting together, do i need a crimper or mandrel for this EZ Clip fitting?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 8, 2025, 6:06 AM
No-crimp assembly is the whole point of the E-Z Clip setup. You cut the hose square, slip on two clips, oil the nipple with the system’s compressor oil, push the nipple in until the hose is tight to the shoulder, snap the cage into the groove, slide the clips into the cage channels, then close the clips with FT1357 clip closing pliers.
Question by: Hugh H on Aug 1, 2025, 3:07 PM
What all do I need on hand before I start putting this fitting together? Trying to make sure I ain't missing nothing before I dig in.
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 3, 2025, 11:04 AM
Before assembly, round up a pair of FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers and either a guillotine blade tool (FT1356) or a comparable square-cut hose cutter. You'll also need two appropriately sized clips and a cage, plus refrigerant oil that's compatible with your A/C system. The fitting is built for use with GH134 Multi-Refrigerant hose, so make sure that's what you're working with. The seal part (1F40106-08) comes included, so that one's already covered. Once you've got all that together, the assembly itself is pretty straightforward: cut the hose square, slip on the clips, oil the nipple generously, seat it fully against the hose shoulder, snap on the cage, slide the clips into the arm channels, and close them with the pliers.

So this has the high side charge port for R134a, right? Just making sure before I order it.
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 26, 2025, 3:02 PM
this E-Z Clip fitting does include a high side charge port specifically designed for R134a refrigerant. It's ready to go for those high-performance environments.
