Designed for automotive and mobile A/C refrigerant systems, the E-Z Clip Series Fitting, 1-1/16-14 Female O-Ring (Short Pilot), -12 Hose, Straight With Charge Port (R12) provides a reliable, tool-minimized assembly method for -12 hose connections. The straight configuration includes a charge port for R12 refrigerant service, with a short pilot female O-ring end sized at 1-1/16-14 UNF thread.

Part of the Eaton Aeroquip E-Z Clip system, this fitting uses a clip-and-cage mechanism that eliminates the need for crimping equipment or a power supply. Two clips and a cage secure the nipple assembly to the hose end, with seal part 1F40106-12 included. The hose side accepts -12 (3/4 in.) hose. Components are single-use and not intended for reuse after assembly.

Sg 1 Cut The Hose
Cut the Hose to Proper Length. Be Sure the Cut is Made Square to the Hose Length
Sg 2 Slip On Two Clips
Install Two Proper-Sized Clips Onto the Cut End of the Hose
Sg 3 Oil The Nipple
Lubricate the Nipple with a Generous Amount of the Refrigeration or A/C System's Compressor Oil. This Must be Done to Lower the Force of Nipple Insertion
Sg 4 Insert The Nipple Into The Hose
Insert the Nipple into the Hose. There Should be No Gap Between the End of the Hose and the Shoulder on the Nipple. Avoid Kinking or Damaging the Hose While Inserting Nipple
Sg 5 Snap On The Cage
Snap the Cage into the Groove on the Nipple. When the Cage Has Been Correctly Installed in the Cage Groove, the Cage Will be Able to Rotate in the Groove
Sg 6 Slide The Clips
Slide the Clips Over the Cage Arms and into the Channels on Each Arm
Sg 7 Close The Clips
Use the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers to Close the Clips. The Pliers Should be Positioned Squarely on the Clip Connection Points and Should Remain Square During the Closing of the Clip

Can this E-Z Clip fitting handle R134a refrigerant or just R12?
