The Aeroquip EZ Clip Series fitting ensures reliable sealing for refrigeration and A/C systems. It uses a 5/8-18 female O-ring connection for efficient integration with a -08 hose. Featuring a short pilot design it simplifies assembly reducing the risk of errors and leaks during installation.
Constructed by Danfoss Power Solutions this product requires no power supply or crimping making it easy to use even in confined spaces with just a pair of pliers. Its straight configuration further promotes ease of use without necessitating additional tools or mandrels.
Engineered for compatibility with the GH134 Multi-Refrigerant hose the fitting is equipped with a nipple assembly and correctly sized clips and cage. Proper lubrication with refrigerant oil is advised for smooth nipple insertion and to maintain system integrity.
Note that reuse of E-Z Clip components should be avoided to ensure best practices in refrigerant system maintenance. Following the comprehensive assembly instructions ensures safe and effective performance.

these E-Z Clip fittings, can you reuse the clips and cage after you pull a hose apart for a repair or swap?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 25, 2025, 4:37 PM
Once the clips and cage have been closed and the assembly is complete, none of the E-Z Clip components are meant to be reused. That goes for the clips, the cage, and the nipple assembly as a whole. If you're pulling a hose apart for any reason, plan on having fresh components ready before you put it back together. Reusing them introduces risk into the connection, and that's not something you want on a refrigerant line.

what tool do i need to close the clips on this thing? got the hose cut and nipple in but not sure if regular pliers will do it
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 7, 2025, 6:01 AM
Regular pliers won't cut it here. You need the FT1357 Clip Closing Pliers specifically. When you go to close the clips, those pliers need to sit square on the clip connection points and stay square all the way through the close. Using the wrong tool risks a bad seal, and with refrigerant systems you really don't want that.
