Danfoss / Eaton Hose, PTFE R14, NON-CON, MULTI PCS

Description & Features

Constructed with an extruded PTFE tube and stainless steel braided cover, this -7 dash size hose is built to handle steam, compressor discharge, and a broad range of chemical media. The non-conductive design meets SAE J517, SAE 100R14A, and SAE 100R14B certifications, making it suitable for demanding industrial fluid transfer applications where electrical isolation is required.

The Danfoss / Eaton Hose, PTFE R14, NON-CON, MULTI PCS supports a working temperature range starting at -65°F and delivers a rated impulse cycle life of 100,000 cycles. A minimum bend radius of 4.92 inches and a 0.51-inch width define its physical parameters. Compatible fittings include E Series, FC Series, field attachable, and swage types. Premium abrasion resistance and resilience to vibration and impulse loading contribute to reliable long-term performance. Not recommended for steam-to-cold water cycling applications.

Question by: Wes E on Aug 30, 2025, 10:35 AM
Running this on a compressor discharge line where we get a fair amount of vibration off the unit. Will the braid hold up to that kind of constant movement, or are we gonna have wear issues down the road?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 31, 2025, 8:36 PM
Stainless steel braid over an extruded PTFE tube is a solid combination for exactly that kind of environment. Vibration and impulse loading are two of the conditions this hose is specifically rated to handle, and the impulse cycle life comes in at 100,000 cycles. The premium abrasion resistance also helps where the hose might be rubbing against nearby components. As long as you're not pushing it into tighter bends than the 4.92-inch minimum bend radius allows, long-term durability in a high-vibration compressor setup is well within what this hose is built for.

got a job with steam and some chemical wash down stuff. is this the non-conductive PTFE hose that holds up to that kind of service?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 21, 2025, 9:23 PM
For steam, compressor discharge, and virtually all chemical applications, this hose is a good match since it uses an extruded PTFE tube with a stainless steel braided cover and it is specifically called out as non-conductive. It also meets SAE J517 plus SAE 100R14A and 100R14B.
