This TRIDENT RUBBER LLC premium hardwall water hose is engineered for various marine applications including engine intake critical water systems drainage scupper bilge and sanitation purposes.
Constructed from black high-temperature EPDM rubber it withstands temperatures up to 250F and resists heat ozone exhaust and sanitation chemicals. The hose features an extra heavy tube and cover with a wire helix between two plies for excellent flexibility and a minimum bend radius of 3 inches.
With a maximum operating pressure of 78 PSI it meets and surpasses SAE J2006 ABYC and NMMA standards and holds pending ISO 13363 Standard certification. Black with a blue stripe for easy identification fittings are best attached using Trident #720 stainless steel T-bolt clamps with stainless steel worm gear clamps as an alternative for smaller sizes. Question by: Gene B on Jan 1, 2026, 12:03 PM
What size clamps should I be lookin' at to hook this hose up?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 3, 2026, 8:06 AM
For attaching fittings to this hose, Trident #720 stainless steel T-bolt clamps are recommended. Stainless steel worm gear clamps can work too, especially on smaller sizes.
Question by: Billy S on Feb 17, 2026, 8:01 PM
rated up to 250 degrees, so reckon it'll hold up runnin continuous on a raw water intake without breakin down from the heat?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 19, 2026, 6:18 AM
For engine intake use, 250F is more than enough headroom for raw water cooling systems, which typically run well below that range. The hose is built from high-temperature EPDM rubber and reinforced with a wire helix between two plies, so it resists both heat and collapse under suction. At a max operating pressure of 78 PSI, it handles the demands of intake duty without issue.
