Designed for longer bent connections in marine wet exhaust systems, this 2.25-inch ID Black Hi Temperature EPDM Rubber Hardwall Wet Exhaust Hose from Trident Marine Systems is built to handle sustained heat up to 250°F continuous operation. The extra-heavy tube and cover construction incorporates a wire helix between two-ply reinforcement, giving the hose strong resistance to collapse, panting, and kinking while maintaining a tight bend radius that simplifies routing around obstructions.
The high-temperature EPDM rubber compound resists heat, ozone, exhaust gases, and sanitation chemicals, making it well suited for both wet exhaust and engine coolant system applications up to the component's rated working pressure. This hose meets and exceeds Sae J2006, Abyc, and Nmma standards, with Iso 13363 compliance pending. A smooth interior surface helps minimize engine back pressure. Each assembly requires a minimum of two stainless steel clamps per end, with 3/4-inch T-bolt clamps or 5/8-inch constant torque clamps recommended. Backed by a 5-year warranty.

Product Questions & Answers (3)
Question by: Neal W on Apr 6, 2025, 8:01 PM
What size clamps do I need to get this hose installed right?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 8, 2025, 5:53 PM
Installation over rigid tubing requires a minimum of two stainless steel clamps (1/2 inch wide minimum) at each end. The recommendation is to use 3/4 inch wide T-Bolt Clamps and 5/8 inch wide Constant Torque Clamps for optimal performance.
Question by: Ricky H on Jun 17, 2025, 12:38 PM
How hot can this hose run before it starts breaking down? Got a diesel inboard that runs pretty warm and I don't want to swap hoses every season.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 19, 2025, 9:22 AM
Continuous operating temp tops out at 250 degrees F for this hose. The EPDM rubber compound is built specifically to hold up under steady heat exposure, and the extra heavy tube and cover construction adds another layer of durability. For a diesel inboard running hot, just make sure the hose is positioned far enough downstream from the water injection point so the temps at that location stay within that 250 degree ceiling. Install it right and it carries a 5 year warranty, so you shouldn't be swapping it out every season.
Question by: Earl R on May 21, 2025, 8:50 PM
got a tight bend in my wet exhaust run, is this hose meant to flex without kinking up on me?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 23, 2025, 6:24 PM
For longer bent connections, the wire helix between the 2 ply reinforcement is there to keep it flexible while helping it resist panting and collapse, so it’s built for tighter bend radius installs compared to lighter exhaust hose. During install, don’t kink or damage it and make sure the run is supported and strapped along the full length.
