Black Hi Temperature EPDM Rubber Hardwall Wet Exhaust Hose, 2.88 Inch ID, Up To PSI

Description & Features

Designed for marine wet exhaust installations requiring flexibility and heat resistance, the Black Hi Temperature EPDM Rubber Hardwall Wet Exhaust Hose, 2.88 Inch ID features an extra-heavy tube and cover with a wire helix positioned between two-ply reinforcement. This construction delivers reliable flexibility and a tight bend radius suited to longer bent connections where misalignment or space constraints are a factor.

Built from high-temperature EPDM rubber rated to 250°F continuous service, this 2.875-inch ID hardwall hose resists heat, ozone, exhaust gases, sanitation chemicals, and collapse. It exceeds SAE J2006, ABYC, and NMMA standards, with ISO 13363 certification pending, making it a fit choice for both wet exhaust and engine coolant system applications up to the component's rated working pressure. Trident Marine Systems backs this product with a five-year warranty. Identified by a black body with a blue stripe, it ships in a 12.5-foot package quantity.

Product Questions & Answers (2)

Question by: Roger S on May 12, 2025, 2:23 PM
hose says 250 degrees max continuous -- is that enough for a typical wet exhaust setup on an inboard gas engine?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 14, 2025, 11:26 AM
For most wet exhaust applications on inboard gas engines, 250°F continuous is right in the acceptable range, provided the water injection point is upstream enough to cool the exhaust gases before they reach the hose. That's actually the whole reason Trident specifies installing this far enough downstream from the water injection point -- so temps at the hose location stay within that rated limit. If your system is properly set up with water injection cooling the exhaust before it hits the hose, this EPDM hardwall should handle the job without issue.
Question by: Frank J on Oct 17, 2025, 9:56 AM
trying to snake this through a tight spot, is it stiff like regular exhaust hose or will it bend decent without kinking
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 18, 2025, 8:05 PM
For longer bent connections, the heavy-wall hardwall build uses a wire helix between 2-ply reinforcement to give it good flexibility and bend radius while still resisting panting and collapse. The main thing is to avoid damaging or kinking it during the install.
