how hot does this hose actually get before it starts breaking down? running a wet exhaust setup and dont want to replace it every season

Rated for continuous use up to 250 degrees F, and it carries a 5 year warranty, so it's built to hold up in real working conditions, not just lab specs. The EPDM rubber compound is specifically formulated for heat and aging resistance, and the heavy-wall construction with 2 to 6 ply reinforcement keeps it from breaking down prematurely. As long as the hose is installed far enough downstream from the water injection point so temps stay at or below that 250 degree ceiling, you should get solid service life out of it.
