got a line that sees some nasty weather and splash, is this fitting gonna hold up or am i asking for rust
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 10, 2026, 11:24 AM
For wet or harsh environments, the Dura-Kote plating is the big advantage here. It is called out for corrosion resistance that exceeds standard requirements, and the body is carbon steel for durability.
Question by: Wade C on Jun 6, 2025, 9:45 PM
What kind of corrosion protection does this fitting have? We run equipment in some pretty rough conditions and standard plating usually don't hold up long.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 8, 2025, 1:25 PM
Dura-Kote plating is what sets this one apart from the typical stuff. It goes well beyond standard corrosion resistance requirements, so it holds up better in wet, dirty, or chemically active environments where regular carbon steel fittings tend to fail early. For demanding shop or field conditions, that extra protection makes a real difference over time.
