got a rusty setup on a machine that sees a lot of moisture. is this flange half gonna hold up better than plain steel
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 18, 2026, 6:24 AM
Dura-Kote plating is used on this Aeroquip reusable FTGS flange half to give it stronger corrosion resistance, which is a good fit for hydraulic work where moisture and harsh conditions are common.
Question by: Larry P on Mar 4, 2026, 9:01 PM
These flanges made from ductile iron or something else? Trying to make sure we're not putting the wrong material into a high-pressure line.
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 6, 2026, 6:12 AM
Ductile iron is exactly what these are made from. That material handles the mechanical stress of high-pressure hydraulic applications better than standard cast iron, and combined with the Dura-Kote plating, you're also getting solid corrosion resistance on top of that. For demanding hydraulic lines, that combination holds up well.
