got a hose with a -4 dash, is this the right nipple assy for it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 16, 2026, 7:43 AM
For a -4 hose dash size, this nipple assembly matches that hose size and is built as a nipple assembly fitting in the Aeroquip line.
Question by: Tony K on Apr 27, 2025, 10:59 AM
What kind of corrosion protection does this fitting have? Running equipment outdoors and rust has been a real problem with cheaper fittings we've tried before.
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 29, 2025, 8:56 AM
Dura-Kote plating is what sets this one apart from bare steel fittings. It's an Eaton Aeroquip-specific coating applied to the carbon steel body that gives it significantly better resistance to corrosion compared to uncoated alternatives. If you've been fighting rust on standard fittings in outdoor or wet conditions, this should hold up a good deal better over time.
