AEROQUIP HOSE

Description & Features

Designed for low-pressure fluid transfer in demanding industrial environments, this Eaton Aeroquip FC647 Series socketless hose is built around a nitrile tube with a single-ply polyester braid reinforcement and a polyester cover rated for premium abrasion resistance. At dash size -6 (0.66 in. width), it maintains a minimum bend radius of 3 inches, making it well-suited for routed assemblies in tight spaces.

The Aeroquip Hose is compatible with gasoline, fuel and lubricating oils, air, and water. It is not approved for air brake applications and is not recommended for hydraulic impulse service. Conductive construction, an ink wheel lay line, and compatibility with reusable fittings make this a practical choice for workshops and field assembly alike. The nitrile tube provides reliable resistance across a working temperature range starting at -40°F.

Question by: Bobby C on Nov 20, 2025, 2:42 PM
hose gonna hold up running gasoline through it regular, or is that pushing it for this type?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 22, 2025, 6:09 AM
Gasoline is actually one of the listed compatible fluids for this hose, so regular use with fuel is well within what it's built for. The nitrile tube handles fuel and lubricating oils without issue, and the polyester cover gives it premium abrasion resistance for routed runs that see daily wear. Just keep in mind it's not rated for hydraulic impulse service, so if your setup involves pressure spikes or pulsing flow, this wouldn't be the right pick.

got a tight spot to snake a line through. how tight can this -6 hose bend without kinkin up on me?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 5, 2025, 5:56 PM
For tight routing, the -6 size FC647 hose calls for a 3 inch minimum bend radius. Staying at or above that bend radius helps it hold its shape and resist kinking.
