Description & Features

Designed for air conditioning and refrigeration applications in bus and rail systems, this Dash -16 hose features a chloroprene tube, EPDM cover, and single-ply wire braid reinforcement. The conductive construction carries a minimum working temperature of -40°C and a rated impulse cycle life of 150,000 cycles.

The Aeroquip Multi / Refrig Hose meets SAE J2064 certification and is compatible with multiple refrigerants, including R1234yf, with an effusion rate of 0.5 kg/m²/yr at 80°C. Minimum bend radius is 3.5 inches. Compatible fittings include EJ5305, EJ5361, EJ5362, EJ5306, EJ5359, EJ5360, GA25126, GA25127, GA25128, or factory-crimped options.

Running a transit bus fleet and need to swap out the AC hose on a few units. This is a -16 dash size, right? And what fittings are we looking at for field installation?

Correct, it's a Dash -16 hose. For field installation, compatible fittings include EJ5305, EJ5361, EJ5362, EJ5306, EJ5359, EJ5360, GA25126, GA25127, and GA25128. Factory-crimped options are also available if you'd rather go that route. Just make sure you're not bending it tighter than 3.5 inches minimum bend radius during routing or you risk compromising the hose integrity.

Reckon this hose'll hold up in the engine compartment of a railcar? Gets pretty hot in there.

got a tight spot to snake this line through, how tight can i bend the FC800-16 without kinking it
