Designed for demanding hydraulic applications, the Danfoss / Eaton Aeroquip FC8155-4040S Ftng (perm), 61-flange Steel Compatible Hose ID Flange is a carbon steel nipple assembly built for SAE Code 61 flange connections. With a -40 hose dash size and a flanged end type on one side mating to a line/hose/tube end on the other, this fitting is suited for large-bore, high-pressure hydraulic systems where reliable permanent crimping is required.
Constructed from carbon steel and finished with Dura-Kote plating, the fitting provides strong resistance to corrosion in harsh industrial environments. The FC8155 series is engineered to extend hose assembly service life and support maximum system uptime through consistent, repeatable performance. The 45-degree elbow configuration aids routing in space-constrained installations where straight fittings are not practical.

Got a tight routing situation on a large-bore hydraulic line and a straight fitting just ain't gonna cut it. This the one with the 45-degree elbow, or am I lookin at the wrong part?

Yeah, the FC8155-4040S does have a 45-degree elbow configuration, so it's built exactly for those situations where you can't run a straight line and need to work around tight clearances or nearby components. One end is a SAE Code 61 flange connection and the other mates to your line, hose, or tube. It's a permanent crimp fitting, so once it's on, it's on, but that's what gives you the reliable seal you need in high-pressure systems.

Wondering if this Aeroquip fitting will hold up with some of the heavier hydraulic oils we use?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 13, 2025, 9:27 AM
Dura-Kote plating gives this fitting good corrosion resistance, which should help it hold up well even when exposed to the harsher chemicals common in hydraulic systems.
