The FD14 Series Oil Drain Coupling Female Half 5/8 Inch Hose Barb is engineered by Danfoss Power Solutions (II LLC Aeroquip) to meet rigorous industry standards. Featuring a low-profile design with multiple sealing mechanisms this coupling ensures reliable performance in specialized applications.

This product employs a push-to-connect socket for effortless one-hand operation and utilizes a copper-crush gasket to seat securely against the port face. Constructed from high-resistance carbon steel with zinc trivalent plating and a zinc die-cast valve the FD14 Series coupling is built for durability.

Standard socket/female half seal materials include Buna-N while FKM is used for plug/male half seals. The product supports a wide range of standard thread styles for plug/male half connections and does not require thread sealant.

what seal material comes in the socket half on this thing? got a Buna-N compatibility requirement and need to make sure before I order

Buna-N is the standard seal material for the socket and female half on this coupling. The plug and male half uses FKM. So if your system spec calls for Buna-N on the female side, this one fits that requirement straight out of the box.

got a 5/8 hose already, is this the female half with the barb end or am i lookin at the wrong piece

It is the female half coupling with a 5/8 inch hose barb (FD14-4003-10-06). The end gender is female and the end type is barb, so it is meant to be clamped onto 5/8 inch hose.
