Designed for fluid sampling in engine oil, lubricating oil, transmission fluid, and hydraulic fluid circuits, this carbon steel quick disconnect coupling features a male NPTF end on one side and a male UNF thread connection on the other. The 5/16-inch port size and Buna-N seals make it well suited for use across a range of industrial fluid systems requiring routine sampling access.

The Danfoss / Eaton Male Pipe Thread Sampling valve belongs to the Hansen FD15 Series and connects via a thread-to-connect mechanism, no special tools required. It meets MIL-V-81940/2-1 compliance and exceeds ISO 16028 operating pressure requirements. Rated for a minimum working temperature of -65°F, it performs reliably in demanding temperature environments.

got a sampling port on a hydraulic circuit, what fluids is this FD15-1000-04 meant to pull samples from?

this thing work on transmission fluid lines, or is it only for engine oil and hydraulics?

Transmission fluid is actually one of the listed applications for this coupling, right alongside engine oil, lubricating oil, and hydraulic fluid. The Buna-N seals and carbon steel body handle that range of fluids well, so you're good to go on that front.
