DANFOSS / EATON COUPLING

Description & Features

Designed for quick connect and disconnect without special tools, this carbon steel coupling handles engine oil, lubricating oil, transmission fluid, and hydraulic fluids across a wide temperature range starting at -65°F minimum. It meets MIL-V-81940/2-1 compliance and exceeds ISO 16028 operating pressures, making it well suited for demanding fluid handling circuits in mobile and industrial equipment.

The Danfoss / Eaton Hansen FD15 Series coupling features a 5/16 port size with a male UNC end (0.4375 in.) and a male ORB end (0.3125 in.), connected via a thread-to-connect internal mechanism. Buna-N seals provide reliable fluid compatibility across its listed media types. The two-way valve configuration allows controlled flow in both directions.

Supplied complete as a single assembly under the Aeroquip and Hansen sub-brands, this is a direct replacement or new-installation option for systems requiring MIL-spec rated quick disconnect performance.

Will this work okay with regular hydraulic fluid, or do I need to get something special?

This coupling is designed to handle regular hydraulic fluid just fine, along with engine oil, lubricating oil, and transmission fluid.
