Can this here quick disconnect coupling handle hydraulic fluid okay, or is it more for somethin' else?

It's definitely made for hydraulics and fluid transfer applications, especially on on-highway hydraulic wet lines. It's also good for dump/refuse vehicles and bulk liquid transfer.
