The FD72 Series Connect Under Pressure Hydraulic Farm Quick Disconnect Female Half -10 Coupling 1/2-14 Female NPT is specifically designed for efficient hydraulic fluid transfer in agricultural equipment. It features an over-travel self-sealing poppet valve construction ideal for connecting to a pressurized male tip. The quick disconnect requires that the tractor control valve be actuated to open the flow path and to equalize the pressure.

Constructed from zinc-plated steel with a zinc poppet guide this coupling ensures durability and reliability in demanding conditions.

The push-to-connect design allows for one-hand operation when the sleeve is mounted providing ease of use and convenience. Additionally it interchanges with ISO 5675 male tips (FD76) enhancing compatibility with various systems.

The female half includes a retaining ring groove for bulkhead and breakaway frame mounting ensuring secure attachment and stability. The standard seal material used is Buna-N which offers excellent resistance to hydraulic fluids.

With minimal fluid loss and air inclusion this coupling is an ideal choice for precise fluid control. It operates effectively in a temperature range from -40deg;C catering to various environmental conditions.

trying to hook up to a tip thats still got pressure on it, will this female coupler deal with that?

Built for connect under pressure jobs, the FD72 female half uses an over-travel, self-sealing poppet valve so it can connect to a pressurized male tip. You still have to actuate the tractor control valve to open the flow path and equalize pressure for the connection to work like it should.
