Coupling Male Half

Description & Features

Designed for diagnostic pressure testing in hydraulic systems, this carbon steel Coupling Male Half from Eaton Aeroquip belongs to the Hansen FD90 Series of quick disconnect couplings. It features a push-to-connect end with a 7/16 SAE ORB port, paired with a ball lock internal connection and sleeve lock safety mechanism for reliable engagement and retention.

Buna-N seals support a minimum working temperature of -40°F, and the 2-way valve design maintains flow control during connection and disconnection. With a rated flow of 0.6 gallons per minute, this male half is suited to low-flow diagnostic applications. The FD90 Series meets SAE J1502 interchange standards and exceeds ISO 16028 operating pressure requirements, no special tools required for connect or disconnect.

Question by: Neal W on Mar 21, 2026, 2:42 PM
what's the flow rate on this thing, and is it gonna hold up for regular diagnostic work on farm equipment hydraulics?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 22, 2026, 9:14 PM
Rated at 0.6 gallons per minute, this coupling is built specifically for low-flow diagnostic pressure testing rather than high-volume line work. For checking pressures on farm equipment hydraulic systems, that flow rate is right in line with what diagnostic applications call for. The carbon steel construction and ball lock internal connection give it solid retention during use, and the sleeve lock safety mechanism keeps it from backing out unintentionally. Just keep in mind this is a male half only, so you'll need a compatible FD90 Series female half to complete the connection.

got a diagnostic test port with 7/16 SAE ORB, is this the right male half to snap in for pressure checks
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 14, 2025, 4:53 PM
For diagnostic pressure testing setups, this male half matches a 7/16 SAE ORB port and uses a push to connect quick disconnect style in the Hansen FD90 Series. It is the male half with a ball lock internal connection and a sleeve lock safety mechanism to help keep it engaged during use.

Reckon this'll hold up for hooking up diagnostics on a tractor?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 8, 2025, 6:55 AM
Designed for diagnostic pressure testing in hydraulic systems, this coupling should do the trick for your tractor's hydraulics, as long as the pressure and flow rate are within its specifications.
