Manufactured by Eaton Aeroquip, this straight steel adapter connects a 1/2-14 female NPT thread to a 7/16-20 male JIC 37° flare, making it well suited for hydraulic and fluid systems requiring a transition between NPT and SAE flare connections. The straight configuration keeps installations compact where space or routing constraints are a factor.
The Steel Adapter, 1/2-14 Female NPT To 7/16-20 Male JIC 37 deg Flare, Straight carries catalog number C1AV62 and is rated for demanding service environments including marine and military applications, chemical processing, offshore drilling, and food and beverage processing. Steel construction supports performance across these varied industrial settings.
Fluid compatibility documentation is available from Eaton for reference when selecting this adapter for specific media. Alternate part numbers include C1AV62, MI-02092710, and MINO-00015J40529.

got a 1/2 female NPT port on a manifold and need to hook up a JIC line, this the right adapter for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 25, 2026, 12:17 PM
That's the situation this part was made for. One end is 1/2-14 female NPT, the other is 7/16-20 male JIC with a 37 degree flare. Straight configuration, so no angle to deal with. It's from Eaton Aeroquip's 2022 Series, which covers this kind of NPT-to-JIC transition in a compact, direct fitting.

got a hose end that’s 7/16-20 JIC, and the port on my block is 1/2-14 female NPT. is this the right adapter to tie those together
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 12, 2025, 8:20 AM
It bridges those two thread types in a straight adapter. One side is 1/2-14 female NPT (NPTF internal pipe) and the other side is 7/16-20 male JIC with a 37 degree flare seat.
