Description & Features

This straight adapter is manufactured from carbon steel and features Dura-Kote plating, providing corrosion resistance that meets ASTM B117 salt spray standards. Rated for operating pressures above SAE standards and tested to SAE J1176 and DIN 2ST certifications, it is built for demanding hydraulic system requirements. The Male SAE O-Ring to Fem STC connects a 3/4" male SAE ORB end to a 3/8" female STC end, making it a reliable choice for joining SAE O-ring boss ports to Eaton STC fittings. A thread sealant is not required due to the O-ring face seal design. The adapter has a minimum working temperature of -40°F and is sourced from Danfoss Power Solutions (formerly Aeroquip). No thread sealant compound is needed at the SAE ORB end.

got a port that’s 3/4 male SAE ORB and i need to go over to a 3/8 female STC. is this the right adapter?

For that hookup, it’s a straight adapter that goes from a 3/4 inch male SAE O-ring boss end to a 3/8 inch female STC end, so it’s meant for joining an SAE ORB port to an Eaton STC fitting.

does this thing need any thread sealant or tape on either end when you're putting it together?

No sealant needed on the SAE ORB end. The O-ring face seal handles that job on its own, so you're not reaching for teflon tape or pipe dope. That's one less step during assembly and one less variable that could cause a leak down the road.
