Question by: Lance W on May 26, 2025, 5:35 PM
Got a fitting with a male SAE O-ring boss on one end, does this adapter cross over to a female STC on the other side, or am I reading the specs wrong?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 27, 2025, 9:05 PM
That's what it does. One end is a male SAE O-ring boss connection and the other is a female STC, so if your line has those two connection types on opposite ends, this straight adapter bridges them without needing additional fittings in between. It's carbon steel construction and carries Eaton Aeroquip's Dura-Kote plating, which holds up well against corrosion in demanding environments.
Question by: Keith C on Feb 2, 2026, 1:52 PM
What kind of corrosion resistance does this thing have?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 4, 2026, 6:15 AM
Dura-Kote plating gives it superior corrosion resistance, exceeding ASTM B117 standards.
Question by: Dwayne R on Apr 8, 2025, 9:04 AM
got a hose end with STC on it and i need to tie into an SAE o-ring port. is this the right kind of adapter?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 10, 2025, 7:54 AM
Function-wise, yes. It is a straight carbon steel adapter with a male SAE O-ring (SAE ORB) on one end and a female STC connection on the other, so it is meant to bridge those two connection types.
