What kind of environments is this discharge pipe suited for?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 22, 2025, 6:17 AM
This Eaton discharge pipe works well in marine and military settings, plus chemical processing, pulp and paper industries, food and beverage processing, and even off-shore drilling applications.
Question by: Larry J on Jun 14, 2025, 7:05 PM
What kind of coating does this discharge pipe have, and is it gonna hold up in a saltwater environment?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 16, 2025, 4:43 PM
Carbon steel on its own wouldn't last long around saltwater, but Eaton put Dura-Kote plating on this one specifically to fight corrosion. That's why it shows up as approved for marine and offshore drilling use. If you're running it anywhere near salt spray or harsh chemical exposure, the plating is doing real work there.

Function-wise, it is a 90 degree elbow adapter built with a flanged end on one side, size 1, and an SAE 37 degree male end on the other.
