Question by: Darryl F on Dec 20, 2025, 11:49 AM
does this adapter hold up alright in cold temps, like real cold? asking cause we run equipment through winter and cant afford fittings going brittle on us
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 22, 2025, 8:29 AM
Carbon steel construction and a minimum working temperature rating of -65 degrees puts it well within range for most winter operating conditions. The Dura-Kote plating also helps guard against the kind of surface corrosion that cold and wet environments tend to accelerate, so you're not just getting cold-weather tolerance, you're getting protection against the freeze-thaw cycle that eats up uncoated fittings over time.
