Product Questions & Answers (2)

Question by: Dustin E on Jan 25, 2026, 4:26 PM
Does the Dura-Kote plating on this kit actually hold up in wet or corrosive conditions, or is that just marketing talk?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 27, 2026, 6:06 AM
Dura-Kote is a legitimate corrosion-resistant finish, not a buzzword. Carbon steel on its own would rust out pretty quick in wet or chemical-heavy environments, but the plating gives it real protection for long-term use in harsh conditions. That's part of why this kit gets spec'd into demanding industrial setups where standard uncoated fittings would fail early.
Question by: Curt T on Feb 6, 2026, 7:41 AM
Can this handle some serious pressure, or is it more for lighter duty stuff?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 7, 2026, 9:27 AM
With its carbon steel build and SAE J518 certification, this adapter flange kit is designed to handle higher operating pressures than standard SAE requirements.
